Public Housing Pre-Applications


Public Housing Pre-Applications for Columbia Center and Turner Park
are CLOSED until further notice.


Public Housing Pre-Applications for the Hubert Humphrey Building are now being accepted.  Applicants must be near elderly (50+) and/or disabled to qualify.  


You can receive an application at the following locations:

Hubert Humphrey Building
4923 Hohman Avenue
Hammond, IN  46320

and

Hammond Housing Authority Main Office
1402 173rd Street
Hammond, IN  46324


Applications will be accepted Monday through Friday (excluding holidays)
during normal business hours:   

8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
and
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Housing Choice Voucher Pre-Applications

The Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List is CLOSED until further notice.  



The 300 pre-applications were received very quickly.  Thank you for your interest.


If you tried to submit your pre-application and received an error - it is because the 300 pre-applications have already been received.  Please apply when the waiting list is open at another time.
